Dr. Kroemer is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in services for adults, and maintains a private practice in Petoskey, MI. She has been in practice for over 20 years.
Dr. Kroemer received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited) from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1990, and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Health Psychology and Consultation-Liasion Psychiatry at Henry Ford Hospital. She held positions as a Rehabilitation Psychologist in Stroke and Head Trauma in Philadelphia, as a Consulting Psychologist in Organ Transplantation, and as a Health Psychologist with Sandoz Nutrition and Temple University Hospital before coming to private practice in Petoskey.
She has given many invited presentations in the fields of health psychology, personality functioning, liasion services, stress management, and eating disorders, both in professional and in community forums. Dr. Kroemer has co-authored a textbook on Ergonomics, and has taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and California. She is also an active member of the American Psychological Association (with memberships in both Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology), the MIchigan Psychological Association, and the American Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine.
Dr. Kroemer utilizes cognitive, interpersonal, dialectic, analytic, and behavioral approaches to achieve therapeutic goals. She has a special interest in current, integrated approaches to treating mood and behavior disorders, particularly as they relate to health and overall well-being.
She resides locally with her 2 sons, a dog and an oversized cat.
